Hornet U8's 4 v Barnby Dun Rovers 0
With the rain pouring down the boys got on the pitch and worked has a team passing and crossing the ball to produce 4 brilliant goals. Mason 2,Cameron 1 and Jay 1 . A change off team for the friendly and they won 3-2. Well done boys keep working together it's not just the goals, it's the passing and crossing inbetween that make you all winners.

Hornets U13's (6) vs Bessacarr (2)
A gritty battling performance on a wet and windy day with hardly a foot put wrong. Bessacarr's goals came from a penalty and an unfortunate OG, but they never really threatened or trouble us due to another strong defensive display throughout the team. Hornets goals were scored by Cameron Johnson (3), Christian Caddy (2) and Chad Booth (1). Man of the match was Ben Poulston for a biting and determined display in midfield, but once again it could have been awarded to any number of players today. Well done to all, lets keep it up.

Stinger U9's 5 v 4 Stainforth Juniors
Well this week I won't be starting off by saying how well we passed the ball. But never the less what a game. Stingers started off well in cold, wet and slippery conditions. Barraclough playing as striker cleverly prodded home to make it 1-0. Stainy hit back with two great passes and a thunderous volley from distance straight across our keeper 1-1. Drury then slotted home to make it 2-1 and thats how the half finished. Stainy were always looking dangerous and in the second half Redshaw and Mellor were introduced to put them under pressure. Bang 2-2 Stainy were level. Things have pretty much been rosy for us all season not today. Freeman then fired from range and his effort was deflected in (shades of Lampard). Redshaw then gave us some comfort making it 4-2. Then Stainy launched a comeback not too dissimilair to Spurs in midweek at the Emirates. 4-4. Drury then came back on for Blake in defence and Johnson and Drury were forced into no-nonsense defending. A corner was forced late on and Freeman lined it up Drury ambled up from the back, the ball floated high into the area, Drury rose like a salmon and then......................Goooooooooooooaaaaaaaallllllllllllll! Stingers clinched a dramatic and thrilling game at the death. I felt like Dick Turpin, Harry Redknapp and Alex 10 minutes added on Ferguson all rolled into one.
Great win, great desire and resilience.
Game 2
Stingers 4 v 3 Stainforth
Stead opened the scoring well with a spinning finish but again Stainy fought back and were 2-1 up. Stead levelled it by chipping the keeper. Then again Stainy responded with another goal 3-2. Second half saw Simms in goal Lee and Mellor defend with Greaves, Redshaw and Freeman hold the middle while Drury went back up top. Stingers levelled through Freeman and the game was ours for the taking with Redshaw creating some good chances. Barraclough came back on and smashed home with seconds left on the clock to give us the win 4-3.
Cracking morning of park football. We cant play the beautiful game every week but we showed that against a physical well organised team that we are made of strong stuff and are all future champions in the making.
Well done players and well done parents for turning out in such high numbers in atrocious conditions.
Thanks to Paul for reffing.

Hi Kev
Hornets and Stingers U13s used pitch 2 on Saturday, can you advise exactly what was wrong because as far as Trev Yates and myself were concerned everything seemed to be put back in it's correct place?
